Rich Chart Live, www.richchartlive.com is an excellent tool to create charts online. Indeed a captivating tool because of the range of features provided by the tool. The free version lets you use all the features and would place a small logo in the corner. All the other features are the same as provided in the commercial version.The features include a good collection of templates, Series style charts, multiple layouts, animation features. The Rich chart gallery provides examples charts that could be created using the tool and the list includes charts with hyperlinking features, etc. 
offers the option to publish the chart in 4 formats. Two very useful publish formats are 'Publish to Flash' which will enable one to save it in a .swf file format and 'Embed Chart in Blog' which can work wonders for Bloggers wanting to display chart in their posts.

maker.com is an interesting software for creating slide shows in flash format (.swf format). A perfect alternative to Microsoft Photostory and with some advantages as well. The software offers more or less the same features as Photostory 
but is more compatible. Except the 'Theme' features, rest all are available in the free version. Some of the features are Transition, Adding Music, Settings, Adding Text on Photo. One suggestion - while applying settings or transition, first select all the photos and then apply them. A good handy tool. 
Somehow, i forgot to post about the free content offered by CII-Shiksha, the organisation i am involved with. Since CII-Shiksha is a non-profit and so the content is free for anybody to download, use, redistribute, etc. There are 32 lessons / modules from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography. The uniqueness of the content lies in the fact that it contains a good mixture of various multimedia components, is self-driven, etc. The idea behind creating the content was to develop some quality content that could be made available to rural schools and children in India, who either do not have quality teachers or no teachers at all. Every module has exercises, quizzes, an animated character guiding the learner, summary, etc. The modules are created to provide a conceptual understanding of the topic.
